Privacy Policy
This page explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. It covers evidencepass.com and the portal you access after ordering.
Who is the controller

What data we collect
For the free check: your email, company name (if entered), battery category and check result — only if you choose to leave contact details. On order: your email, company name, billing address, and payment details processed by Stripe (we never see your card number). In the portal: the documents you upload (datasheets, reports, declarations), and the values we extract, each recorded with which document and exactly where it was found.
Why we process it
To send you a sign-in link and check results (contractual necessity), to process payment (contractual and legal necessity for invoicing), to read your documentation and build the evidence map (contractual necessity, the service you ordered), and to answer your questions (legitimate interest).
Who we share it with
Data is hosted with Supabase (database and document storage, Frankfurt data centre, EU). Email is sent via Resend. Payments are processed by Stripe. The site is hosted on Vercel. We have a data processing agreement with each. We do not sell data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
How long we keep it
Documentation and findings are kept while your access is active, or until you request deletion. Sign-in links are valid for 15 minutes and are then deleted. Issued statements (evidence map certificates) are kept permanently, because they are designed as an immutable record — even after account deletion, unless you explicitly ask for those to be deleted too.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, port, and object to processing. In the portal, you can export your data or request account deletion yourself, without waiting on us. For anything else, write to hello@evidencepass.com — we reply within one working day. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Cookies
The site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. After signing in to the portal, we use a single functional cookie that holds your session — sign-in would not work without it. We do not track you across other sites.
