The data is scattered
Values sit in supplier datasheets, laboratory certificates, safety data sheets and declarations of conformity — often in German or Chinese, often scanned.
Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, Article 77
From 18 February 2027, batteries without a registered passport cannot be placed on the EU market — and customs check this at the border. We do not publish passports. We show you which mandatory fields you can prove today, exactly where each one is written in your documents, and what to request from your suppliers.
Passport publishing is commoditised and starts at €29 a month. Nobody tells you where the values come from, or whether your paperwork survives scrutiny.
Values sit in supplier datasheets, laboratory certificates, safety data sheets and declarations of conformity — often in German or Chinese, often scanned.
If you import, you carry manufacturer obligations and must keep technical documentation for ten years. This is not a one-off task.
In an industry survey, 76% said they had yet to consider the changes. Only 7% had moved beyond that stage.
Because “missing” and “missing, and overdue since 2024” are not the same news. Competitors sell you one list with one deadline.
Performance parameters and state-of-health data have applied since 18 August 2024. Recycled content is not due until 2028 — for light transport batteries, 2033. You should not be paying for that today.
Every value carries a file, a page and a character offset. The engine re-reads the source file and confirms the characters match. A mismatch means rejection, whatever else the value looks like.
Extraction is deterministic, not generative. When a measurement is not valid — a scanned document with no readable layer, for instance — we do not show a readiness percentage at all. Unknown is not the same as zero.
Each page is read by five independent passes across two different engines. A number counts as proven only when at least three reads from two engines agree.
If rated capacity, voltage and energy do not reconcile, we say so. A self-contradicting document is valuable information, not a technical detail.
Mandatory fields are derived from Annex XIII of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 and its cross-references.
The field count is computed from the official text, not copied from vendors. Composite points are expanded into individually provable fields; the counting method is published.

Upload your documents. We extract the values and prove where each one comes from.
For manufacturers and importers with several models and a supplier network.
What we do not sell: certificates of compliance. Software cannot legally certify that you comply — that rests with you as the economic operator and with the competent authorities. We prove where each data point comes from.
